Clinical Significance
- The combination mainly acts upon Hrudaya, thereby enhancing the components of blood. Hrudya action acts in the preventive as well as promotive perspective. Madhukarkati has a specific action of Yakrit Pleeha, moola of Raktavaha Srotas; it tackles the diseases of Yakrit-Pleeha and facilitates proper metabolism of Liver. It also helps in purifying the blood.
- Guduchi is Rasayana, Deepana, Pachana as well as Hrudya; Deepana acts upon Dhatwagni and Pachana action removes Ama responsible for cell-tissue deformity. Tulasi is best drug used in Vishama Jwara; its Laghu, Rooksha Guna, Ushna Veerya, Kaphavatahara, Deepana karma acts on the Raktavaha Srotas, promotes synthesis of blood components and helps in correcting the ailment concerned with blood components. Katuki is Hrudya and Raktavahasrotogami, thus correcting the ailment. Raktavahasrotas plays an important role in maintaining health as it is responsible for circulation of Rakta all over the body. Hence these drugs play an essential role in Swasthyarakshana.
